The Youth Ideathon - Student Workshop was held on August 2, 2024, at Amanora School for 350 students of grades 9 and 11.
Youth Ideathon is a ground-breaking event designed to empower school students from classes 9 to 12 to explore and develop their entrepreneurial skills. This competition, which focuses on technology enhancement, sustainability, and the glory of India, provides a unique platform for young minds to transform their innovative ideas into tangible business ventures.
It guides participants through multiple stages, beginning with submitting their ideas, followed by selecting the top 1500 teams, who receive guidance through explanatory videos. In the subsequent stages, these teams are funded with INR 1000 to create prototypes of their products, which they then sell in a given marketplace, testing their real-world entrepreneurial capabilities. The competition culminates in a grand finale, where the top teams present their projects to a panel of esteemed judges. While the event does not offer traditional prizes, participants are recognized with certifications and potential offers for funding their business ideas, ensuring that their hard work and creativity are acknowledged and supported.
A key highlight of the Youth Ideathon workshop is the keynote address by Ms.Shaila Thakur, a renowned expert in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. With over 22 years of experience, Shaila Ma'am brings a wealth of knowledge from her work at Think Startup Learning Pvt Ltd, an organization dedicated to fostering innovation. Ma’am’s expertise extends across various sectors, including BFSI, RASCI, BPO, and education. Ma'am is also known for her work as a mindset coach, soft skills trainer, and transformation catalyst. Ma'am’s deep understanding of idea generation and innovation makes her uniquely qualified to guide these young entrepreneurs, helping them navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship and prepare for the future business landscape.
This session will help the young minds to wear on their thinking hats which can develop their entrepreneurial skills and bring in innovations.
