Understanding the importance of each part of a plant is a key step in
appreciating the beauty and complexity of the natural world. From
the roots that anchor the plant to the leaves that work like magical
factories, each part has a role to play in the life of a plant.
To have hands-on experience, the students of Grade II deepened
their connection with nature and developed a life long appreciation
for the wonders of the plant kingdom through Yardstick activity –
Parts of a plant. The students actively got engaged in identifying and
understanding the different parts of a plant.
