Science and Math Integration Assembly of Grade V
On 29 th August 2024, our school hosted a unique Science and Math Integrated Assembly for the 5th graders, combining wonders of science with the power of math. This assembly was designed to show students how closely related these two subjects are and how they work together in real-world situations. It was fun, informative and it left the students with a better understanding of how math
and science are connected and how important it is to be strong in both the subjects.
Highlights of the Assembly
Assembly began with a quick introduction to the theme of the day: “Science and Math Integration.”
The anchors explained how math is the language of science and how scientists use math to make discoveries, solve problems, and understand the world around us. Students were excited to see how their math skills could help them in science.
Grade V Students performed a wonderful skit followed by a dance on a math song.
Real-World Applications-
Students learned that math and science are not just subjects in school, but tools that can be used to solve real-world problems.
Future Careers -The assembly inspired students to think about how they might use math and science in their future careers in various departments like agriculture, weather and space science, to become engineers, scientists, or meteorologists.
