HDFC MUN. HDFC MUN conference was held from 23rd to 25th August at the HDFC School. Pune on the THEME: (An essential ingredient for our way ahead.) It aimed to supply a platform to emulate UN sessions with to foster critical thinking and diplomatic skills among participants while also providing an exciting and stimulating experience. The event witnessed participation from over 200 delegates across the city. Arya Mulik from Amanora School won the Best Delegate. There were 10 committees convened, each with its respective agenda as follows: 1.THE HUNGER GAMES- Crisis in the Capitol 2.DISEC-(Disarmament and International Security Committee) Deliberating on how to ensure the security of civilian populations in times of conflict with a special emphasis on the situation in Gaza 3.UN Women- Reservation Quota for the participation of women in UN Committees and Inadequate funding for gender equality initiative. 4. IP International Press 5. UNHRC- (United Nations Human Rights Council) Addressing threats to freedom of expression, censorship, restrictions on freedom of press, online surveillance and attacks against human rights activists. 6. Lok Sabha- Reviewing the NDA Government's Economic Performance over the past decade whilst evaluating the performance and need of India's rapid Privatisation and Liberalisation of 1992. 7. AIPPM- (All India Political Parties Meet) Deliberating on the privatisation of the Indian education system, nature of competitive exams and state of edu infra. 8. IMF-(International Monetary Fund) Analyzing the difficulties confronting States affected by conflict and proposing measures to foster economic stability and growth in these regions. 9. HCC-(Historical Crisis Committee) Creation of a Zionist Jewish State in Post WW2 Germany. 10. G21-(United Nations Human Rights Council) Deliberating legal Consequences arising from the Policies and Practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem. ""
