Flow Charts are excellent for summarizing information and showing relationships between different elements. This helps students understand and organize their thoughts which often require interpretation, that can promote critical thinking skills. Students learn to analyze the information presented in the form of flow charts, draw conclusions, and apply what they’ve learned to new situations. Students of grade XI Commerce and Humanities stream were engaged in making flow charts with reference to Statistics for Economics chapter Collection of Data. It was a group activity where the students were assigned various topics to discuss and write the pointers. In the next session students presented their topics with zeal and enthusiasm.
