Grade VIII Social Studies chapter- ‘India After Independence’, is a thought-provoking topic that ignites the minds of young learners about the challenges our nation faced immediately after independence. Panel discussion activity was conducted for the students of Grade VIII where they highlighted the problem of refugees, integration of princely states, poverty, unemployment, and illiteracy. Students appreciated the achievements of our country post-independence in the fields of science and technology, sports, education, and trade. The activity created awareness among the future nation-builders, ignited the feeling of nationalism and patriotism, and fostered among the learners' values of unity, brotherhood, and the significance of education. A few unique suggestions for tackling the challenges were worth appreciating and encouraging. ""
