Grade VII students learned about democracy as a form of government in the chapter Democracy. This Civics chapter is a comprehensive study on political democracy, economic democracy, and democratic society. To ensure that learners will understand the concept of political, financial, and social democracy in detail a quotation writing and presentation activity was done. Students were asked to explore citations of famous thinkers about democracy, write them on an A4 size sheet in a presentable manner, and further try to gauge the meaning of that quotation or citation. This activity resulted in an elaborative discussion around the topic of democracy and all the learners were able to contribute to it. This simple yet engaging activity was a great experience for learners as the classroom turned into a storehouse of knowledge of democracy. Exploration, comprehension, explanation, and presentation of all domains got a boost by this activity. It also developed speaking skills among the learners.
