Through the development of critical thinking, creativity, imagination, and innovation, arts integration offers a powerful way to create a new learning environment consistent with the cognitive and expressive demands of the 21st century. Students engage in a creative process that connects an art form with another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both. Collage collage-making activity was organized for the students of Grade VII during their Science period in reference to a Science chapter “The Forest”. Students made enticing collages on medicinal plants found in Sikkim and Maharashtra. They created beautiful informative collages. The collages were creatively embellished with pictures and information. The activity promoted collaboration and teamwork among the learners.
