Grade V Yardstick Activity – Movement of the Earth
Solar wind can impact humans and technology on Earth. It is very important to understand the movement of the earth as it allows scientists to do research. Students prepared a model of solar and lunar eclipse by using materials given in the yardstick kit. Students were eager to perform this activity as eclipses are more than an exciting cosmic phenomenon.
It also helped learners to understand the size, shape of the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. In addition to inspiring students this activity drove students to explore and understand more about this scientific phenomenon. It has played a vital role in understanding the universe.
