Grade V- Science Yardstick Activity: Skeletal System Model
To make learning interesting, joyful, and enriching, Grade V students participated in an exciting and interactive Yardstick activity—creating a model of the skeletal system. Using the Yardstick kit, students constructed a skeletal model that included different types of joints. The objective was to design the model, observe the position of bones and joints, and understand how they work together. Students explored the movement of different bones, learned about cartilage and ligaments, and discovered how the skeletal system provides shape to the body while protecting vital internal organs. General safety procedures were followed throughout the activity. Students thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience.
