Grade V - Profit and Loss – Math Lab Activity
An activity was conducted by Grade V students to reiterate the concept of profit and loss. The class was divided into 3 groups –wholesaler, retailer and customer. Students set up mock wholesale and retail shop.
Different goods like toys and stationery were displayed along with their price tags. Customers used the mock currency to buy the articles. Students then computed the profit and loss by comparing the prices of the wholesaler and the retailer.
