Grade IX G Assembly Theme- The White Revolution: A movement that transformed our nation—The White Revolution. This revolution was not about politics or battles; it was about empowerment, innovation, and the vision of a self-sufficient India. The White Revolution, led by Dr. Verghese Kurien, also known as the "Father of the White Revolution," marked a monumental shift in India’s dairy industry. Through Operation Flood, launched by the National Dairy Development Board in 1970, India became the largest producer of milk in the world. What made this revolution special was its focus on rural development. It empowered millions of farmers, especially women, by providing them with opportunities to improve their livelihoods through dairy farming. The revolution taught us the value of self-reliance, teamwork, and sustainable growth. It showed that with determination and the right leadership, even the smallest efforts could contribute to building a nation. So, what can we learn from the White Revolution? First, problems can be turned into opportunities. India was once reliant on imported milk products, but the revolution turned this challenge into a strength. Second, success comes when we include everyone. Farmers, cooperatives, and rural women all worked together to make this dream a reality. Finally, it teaches us to think beyond ourselves. A simple glass of milk today is the result of hard work and a legacy that benefits all of us. The assembly commenced with the school prayer followed by the pledge. The program advanced with the following segments. ● Word of the Day, Thought of the Day, News updates ● Speech on The White Revolution. The speech gave an understanding of the need and Impact of the White revolution. ● Skit that presented the condition of Farmers and milkmans of society before and after The White Revolution. ● A quiz to check the impact on the audience. ● The assembly was followed by ‘Teacher’s Talk’ delivered by the class teacher. ● The session concluded with the national anthem. Students of 9G delivered a message that revolutions aren’t always about loud actions; sometimes they begin with quiet, persistent efforts to bring change. Let’s take inspiration from the White Revolution and contribute to making our community and nation stronger. ""
