As rightly quoted by Walt Disney “There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island”. Reading can transport us to different worlds and allow us to experience different perspectives, much like how dreams do. To foster the reading habit among our learners an assembly was conducted by the students of Grade VIII G on Friday, 05th July 2024, on the topic “Importance of Reading”. Reading can be a form of escapism, where we can temporarily forget reality and become immersed in a story. It makes us more empathetic, and knowledgeable and stimulates our imagination along with improving vocabulary and promoting better communication skills. This was creatively emphasized by the students through an enthralling skit. The assembly witnessed humongous zeal and excitement among the young learners.
