Maintaining the same success opinion, a “MOCK PARLIAMENT SESSION” activity was conducted by the students of Grade VIII during the Social Studies period. The students learned how the parliament works by conducting a mock session. Students were assigned with roles of various ministers belonging to different parties. They were very enthusiastic about it and they took part in it with the same spirit. The students raised issues of social and national importance with confidence. They honed their debating skill. The activity enabled students to learn about the role of Members of Parliament (MPs) and the functioning of the Parliament. The activity fostered a sense of responsibility among the young learners to strive to make a progressive society.
