Poetry is a type of literature that conveys a thought, describes a scene, or tells a story in a concentrated, lyrical arrangement of words. It encourages us to put words to feelings that we can't otherwise describe. An activity was conducted where students of Grade VIII were asked to write a poem based on different themes such as nature, childhood memories, friendship, hope, and happiness during the English period. Students wrote captivating poems illustrating their views and experiences. The activity fostered a deeper understanding of the poetic devices.
