Manuscript-making activity was conducted for the students of Grade VII during their Social Studies period. The activity aimed to help the learners understand how historians derive, interpret, analyze, and present information from various manuscripts of the past. Students were guided to make a manuscript for which they needed to collect broad dry fallen leaves from any nearby garden and write about themselves, family and friends on those leaves. Once the manuscripts were ready, they exchanged the manuscripts with their classmates. Students read the manuscripts and listed the information about their peers. The activity fostered creativity and developed observational skills among the young learners.
