Dialogue writing is an important part of the teaching-learning process because it helps students construct knowledge and connect academic content to real-world experiences. Grade VII students were engaged in a group activity during their Hindi period. Students elucidated the pain of the bird trapped in a cage. Students brainstormed the possible points of discussion between a bird and the cage if they ever communicated with each other. The activity provided a unique opportunity for students to verbalize their understanding, bring their thoughts to the surface, and examine them closely. The Samvaad Lekhan activity fostered empathy and responsibility among the young learners towards the betterment of animal lives around them. Humongous zeal and excitement were evident among the learners.
