Gr. III and IV-Jr. Scientist Club-The Rainbow Walking Water Experiment The students of the Grades III and IV Junior Scientist Club participated in an exciting and engaging “Rainbow Walking Water” activity—a colourful experiment. The activity started with a video presentation, through which students learned about capillary action and colour mixing. For this experiment, they took 3 empty cups and 3 cups filled with coloured water. By dipping paper towels in water of different colours, they have observed that over a few minutes, the coloured water "walks" up the paper towels and into the empty cups. Eventually, the colours get mixed together, creating secondary colours (orange, green, and purple) in the empty cups. It sparked curiosity and prompted many questions about the science behind this concept. The experiment provided a visual and interactive way for students to understand how water moves through narrow spaces and how primary colours get mixed to form secondary colours. ""
